This week, Evans fans were shocked to learn that there was talk of his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor took to Twitter after rumors circulated the internet to write “News for Me,” but we all know we can no longer trust the Marvel actors when it comes to the cast. Most recently, Tatiana Maslany and Hailee Steinfeld denied reports that they played She-Hulk and Kate Bishop respectively, which turned out to be true. However, in the past Evans has said that returning to play Cap after Avengers: End of Game would be a “risky” step.
“Yeah, I think it’s done. I mean, it was a great race and we came out on such a high note,” Evans said previously on The Graham Norton Show when asked if he was “definitely done” playing Cap. “What are the odds of having a character that lasts this long, with so many stories landing on their feet in the final chapter?” He added: “To come out on that note it would be risky to revisit, in my opinion… And it was such a good experience, I think it is better to stay like this.”
What do you think of the Empire Magazine blanket? Do you hope Evans returns as Cape? Let us know what you think in the comments!
