According to the DOT, the digital magazine “7641 Islands of the Philippines” will serve as a travel guide with featured tourist routes such as the Bicol and Central Visayas Bike Trails; Green Adventure Loop from Camiguin and Misamis Oriental; Davao Diving Tourism; Boracay Food Tour; and the cross-regional cuisine and culture of Ilocos, Central Luzon and the Cordillera.

“In 7641, we dig deeper into the stories of a destination, a cultural tradition, a dish, a personal affiliation with a place, while providing the basic information you need as a traveler,” said Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat. .

Puyat added that the digital magazine would feature tourist destinations each month while highlighting different sites located in 7,641 islands in the country.

She revealed that the name of the microsite was inspired by the number of islands in the Philippines based on the preliminary results of the inventory carried out by NAMRIA in 2013.

Details on the country’s tourist sites can be accessed via this link: 7641islands.ph.
