Global Magazine Features Boyertown Fruit Grower

BOYERTOWN PA – Benjamin Keim, fifth-generation family member and grower at Keim Orchards, 270 Poplar Rd., who is also a past president of the State Horticultural Association of Pennsylvania, was featured Wednesday (March 2, 2022) in a profile d news and video published by Good fruit producer magazine.

In the video, posted on YouTube (above), and the Keim article talks about growing up in the family business, his decision to focus on growing apples and peaches for the fresh market, and the help he received from agricultural research.

He also talks about his growing satisfaction with crop yields and offers advice to other growers like him on how to experiment with new products and practices.

Good fruit producer was created in 1946. Its readership consists of orchardists and winemakers from every US state and 50 countries. It specializes in covering the cultivation, packaging, handling, marketing and promotion of tree fruits (apples, pears, cherries, apricots, peaches, nectarines and plums), as well as the production of juice and wine grapes.
