The Ministry of Tourism launches the digital magazine ‘7641’

The Ministry of Tourism is on track to accelerate the revival of the country’s tourism industry: after initiatives such as ASMR visual guides and Spotify playlists, the tourism board has also launched 7641a digital travel magazine that provides readers with travel ideas and information about the various sights of the Philippines.

The name 7641 is a reference to the number of islands that make up the Philippine archipelago.

The DOT said 7641, part of the philippines.travel website, “provides travel information through feature articles that provide step-by-step itineraries, activity suggestions with reminders for a safe adventure security and interesting stories for each place”.

It also includes tours that regional DOT offices have developed. These include Bicol and Central Visayas Bike Trails, Camiguin and Misamis Oriental Green Adventure Loop, Davao Dive Tourism, Boracay Food Tour, SOCCSKSARGEN Farm Tours and of the inter-regional cuisine and culture of Ilocos, Central Luzon and the Cordillera.

“In 7641we dig deeper into the stories of a destination, a cultural tradition, a dish, a personal affiliation with a place, all while providing the basic information you need as a traveler,” said Secretary to Tourism, Berna Romulo-Puyat, in a press release. .

The digital magazine would also feature lesser known destinations such as the white sand beaches of Marinduque, the healing island of Siquijor, the caves and paragliding sites of Nueva Vizcaya and the pink sand beaches of Zamboanga City.
